Big Art
Petros Chrisostomou giant photography manipulation is amusing – he likes to play with scales. Chrisostomou takes objects with which we are all too familiar with – a high-heeled shoe or two, some eggs, a head of blonde hair – and he plays with scale to such an extent that they look monstrously large in their contexts. The perfectly ordinary object becomes wholly extraordinary, ” i’m in the connection between the real and the unreal, the physical and the non -physical”, said the artist. He has also won the Royal Academy/Land Securities award for 2009, which will give him free studio space at 48 Oxford Street in London for a year, and an exhibition in June.

MJ Sales
I get a text from Wel and it's a link to the following article....I didnt plan on posting anything on my blog about MJ, because everyone is really over reacting, according to my feelings, about the whole thing. But you know, whatever, I'm in a field that takes care of the dead on a daily basis so I'm guessing that it doesnt bother me. But it's ironic how people claim they were a MJ fan all these years and whatnot. And here's another question...HOW WAS HIS DEATH UNTIMELY????
Like Tupac Shakur, The Notorious B.I.G. and others, record sales for the late pop icon Michael Jackson have spiked in the days following the singer’s untimely passing.
According to new reports, the demand for Jackson’s music has far exceeded the supply, leaving retailers rushing to fill backorders for The King of Pop.
Several Best Buy outlets are completely sold out of Michael Jackson albums and the 25th anniversary edition of Thriller is currently out of stock at online retail outlet Amazon.com.
Bill Carr, vice president of music and video at Amazon says, "This is simply unprecedented.” In addition to the legendary Thriller album, Amazon is also out of all Jackson and Jackson 5 albums.
"We've seen the death of Johnny Cash and Frank Sinatra and many other artists, but none of them compare to what we're witnessing today,” Carr added.
So exactly how popular is Jackson’s music these days?
"In the last 24 hours, we've actually sold more Michael Jackson albums in our MP3 and CD stores than we have in the 11 years since the launch of our music business," he said.
For those who cannot get enough of Michael Jackson music, there may be one—or several—posthumous albums released.
Michael Jackson was 50-years-old.

Sacha Waldman Photography
Don’t call Sacha Waldman a traditionalist. This South African / New York based photographer never took a photography class. He never shot film. Jumping straight into digital, Waldman just tinkered with his images until he found inspiration. “Experimentation is the main thing,” said Waldman. “You create a look that turns you on….and you move from there.” Between Hip-hop, guns, money, celebrity, chocking and creepy kids, Waldman’s imagery is diverse with interesting sets research ( sometimes it takes him more than a week to create one image)
and long time post-production / digital manipulation. Check more of his chocking images @ www.sachawaldman.com
