Clipse Announce Solo LPs for 2010

While it's not clear where or when exactly this show took place, Clipse played a set last Friday (April 30). And during that set, which included "Popular Demand (Popeyes)," Pusha T and Malice apparently announced that they intend on releasing solo albums this year. Unfortunately, those are the only details available surrounding this news right now, but here goes some ol' fashioned predictions:

  • As Meka at 2DopeBoyz wrote, perhaps this will be packaged like Outkast's Speakerboxxx/The Love Below.
  • These won't drop in 2010.
  • Pusha T and Malice will drop solo mixtapes and not proper albums.
That's all I got for now. Hopefully these will actually come out, though I highly doubt we'll see them this year. Also, here's hoping they continue to branch out production-wise as they did on Til the Casket Drops, which, though disappointing on all fronts, was marred by weak production from the Neptunes. Let's keep DJ Khalil and Sean C & LV on board, Pusha and Malice, but drop Chad and Pharrell. They deserve a break anyway.
