Here comes a fine remix of iTunes’ current number one single “Nothing On You” featuring Bei Major. Be on the lookout for Jive Records’ latest signee to release some good music in the near future. In the meantime, purchase your copy of B.o.B.’s debut offering The Adventures Of Bobby Ray here.
Arguably one of today’s most underrated Soul-singers Anthony Hamilton has been crafting melodious tunes for over a decade now. His voice can be heard on various rap records such as “Why” by Jadakiss, “Po’ Folks” by Nappy Roots, “Sunshine” by Twista among others. However, his music is the most powerful when the Charlotte, North Carolina-native is on a soulful solo-mission as can be heard on the featured unreleased track “Oh Lord” produced by Dre and Vidal. Enjoy.

Wale proves his consistency as an MC as he delivers two freestyles in celebration of 4/20. As usual, Mr Folarin’s wordplay is on point and the selection of beats indicates excellent taste. Thoughts about a sophomore album would not seem premature at this point.
Ciara’s newest video “Ride” is an attractive manifestation of physical exercise. As she announced earlier her forthcoming album Basic Instinct is probably her closest approach to her debut offerung Goodies. And this is exactly what the R&B-singer is using as a weapon in this visual. Enjoy you will.

Arguably one of the most underrated ambassadors of West Coast Hip Hop, Oakland’s Digital Underground architected Funk-infused Rap music in the Bay Area almost two decades ago. Their overall contribution to the culture easily surpasses their introduction of the late and great Tupac Shakur to the scene. The seasoned veterans Humpty Hump alias Shock-G, Chopmaster J, DJ Fuze, Money-B and Schmoovy-Schmoov reappear on the stage with an upcoming EP entitled The Green Light. The offering will feature unreleased tracks from the band as well as other rarities. Check out below the first track “Sittin’ On Hits” off The Green Light EP that will be released digitally and in select stores May 18th.
New York rapper Guru died on Monday morning after a grueling battle with cancer, according to MTV News. He was 43. Guru suffered a cardiac arrest in March and was in coma for a while.
According to his music partner Solar, Guru suffered from the ailment for over a year and had to undergo numerous procedures under the supervision of medical specialists. Unfortunately, the legendary MC's situation failed to yield any significant progress. Guru always kept his health issues private, but the news surfaced earlier in the year when he checked himself into a hospital.
Guru started his career as the rhyming half of GangStarr with DJ Premier. He would later go on to pursue a solo career with his well known Jazzmatazz series.

Haziq - Freedom/Hussla (directed by 6ix Shoota) from tabi Bonney on Vimeo.
Who is Haziq Ali and how do you stand out from being another run of the mill rapper?
I'm a serial entrepreneur and motivational speaker who decided to pour the principles that have brought him success; for instance, I started my first business in Junior High and made 60 Minutes; into his music. I'm different from other rappers because I do motivational hip-hop "U-Can-DO-It Music" designed to make you feel more powerful as you sing along rather than be distracted or made to feel hopeless.
What inspired you to become a rapper?
I feel like music actually affects minds. Music more than public speaking, more than poetry, or movies, etc. Hip Hop especially, is singularly equipped to transmit information. It is education and entertainment all in one. It can be a weapon or a tool and I decided I was going to be part of the solution and choose to use mine to build.
Who would you say influenced you the most musically?
Artists like Eminem and Kanye West who rose from the underground "backpack culture" to the top of pop culture inspire me the most. However, I am also enthralled by the branding genius of phenoms like Lady Gaga.
What can people expect from you in 5 years?
You can expect me to be acting and affecting the pop culture of the world. I'll be internationally known as both a speaker and an artist.
What upcoming projects are you working on?
I'm working on my blog, pushing my album, and creating new material constantly to prepare for the times when the world is clamoring for more from me.
How can people get in touch with you?
They can reach me via Twitter just type in HaZiQ, HaziqAli.com, haziqali.wordpress.com, myspace.com/theRhyme, or via Facebook at Haziq Ali.
Thank you for taking your time to speak with us, is there anything you would like to add?

Kinda crazy seeing the amount of attention and support Wiz gets nowadays. I used to think it was solely the stoner crowd (*looks at Shake*), but not anymore it seems. Anyways, tracklist and link down bottom.

Shyne has officially made his uncanny return to hip-hop with the release of his new song, Messiah. The production is straight gritty, while the wordplay is commanding and parallels his trademark tone, which is still resilient after all these years. Although no official date has been confirmed, his upcoming album is expected to have some high profile guest appearances. Stay tuned.
After dropping two critically acclaimed mixtapes Roc Nation-signee J.Cole has been hailed as the next big thing in the rap game. The featured track “We On” undermines this assumption. His lyrical delivery over this guitar-ladden instrumental is impeccable. Supposedly the track did not make the final cut of DJ Khaled’s Victory.
After a week of previews, Snoop has officially premiered the music video for his hit single, That Tree. The song features production from Diplo and guest verses from Kid Cudi. While, the video showcases a montage of Snoop and Kid Cudi living in a two dimensional world. Very clean, check it out!

Max Tannone did it again. The NYC producer and DJ who delivered us the irresistible Jay-Z/Radiohead mashup album, Jaydiohead, just dropped his latest gem. Mos Dub, pits the lyrical stylings of Mos Def against the classic sounds of vintage reggae and its latter day cousin, dub. Sure it’s a mashup album, but its organic feel makes it feel like your first time. There is something for everyone on this album. Hip hop fans will sweat Mos Def’s remixed flow and the 420 crowd will pass the dutchie to the dub hand side. Expect to see a number of these tracks on Hypem’s top 10 and on everyone’s summertime mix tapes.
Keeping it consistent, Max gives up his latest album, just like his last, for free. Get it here. Download it. Trust me.
